Serving on the Board of Directors for Love INC has been an amazing journey of faith and a huge learning experience for me!

I became involved in the early efforts to establish a Love INC affiliate in the Perham area in 2020, and I continued on the journey through involvement in the Development Team, then started on the first Board of Directors in January of 2022. It has been a privilege to work with many amazing fellow Board members and to pray with our Love INC prayer team in the past four years. I have been awed by how God uses the efforts of volunteers from local churches to transform lives and communities In the Name of Christ!

In addition to serving on the Love INC Board, I Chair the Heart of the Lakes Relay For Life and serve as Fellowship Chair for the Church Council at Calvary Lutheran Church, Perham.  I have a wonderful family which includes my husband, two daughters, and a grandson whom I adore!

When I retired in 2022, I started looking for a place to volunteer.  I heard about Love INC’s mission – to mobilize churches to transform lives and communities in the name of Christ – and decided to find out more.  Volunteering in the office and serving on the Board have opened my eyes to the hurting and struggling people all around me.  Love INC works to bring hope by offering a hand up, not a hand-out.  It’s a joy to watch lives being transformed in the name of Christ.

I have been married for 35 years. We have 5 children and 9 grandchildren. I enjoy being outdoors and reading. I joined the board as a way to serve the Lord, by serving others in my community that are in need.

My role as a Love Inc Board Member feels like a natural fit for me, having served as a church secretary for 27 years, and is yet another opportunity for me to love my neighbor! My husband Ed and I have been married over 40 years and have one child, a daughter, who lives in Massachusetts. 

I became a board member for Love INC after my pastor asked me. I had worked for Otter Tail County Public Health for over 23 years as receptionist and secretary. After the county, I worked for the MN Dept. Of Corrections for over 8 years, as support staff, so have worked for the public for over 30 years.  My husband Eric and I live on his family's century farm outside Perham. We have a son who is a paralegal in West Fargo and a daughter who works for Disney World as a decision science consultant.

I am a Christian, wife of 16 years and mother to 3 children in rural Otter Tail County. I grew up with a single mother who often struggled, so helping those who are struggling is important to me. From a 'non-practicing' background to a heart fully devoted to Jesus, my journey has been a series of small steps and big leaps of faith. I’ve learned that God doesn't call the qualified; He qualifies the called—even when we’re learning right alongside our children. I’m a witness to the fact that God’s plan is always the right plan. I’m here to share that love and help others see that they, too, are chosen and loved by the King.
